Old people tell us that having moles in specific parts of the body have certain meanings. If you have a mole at the back of your hand it means that you will be earning lots of money. Moles on the upper area of the lips suggest a person with a very strong attitude and a very goal-driven person.
I have a mole hidden from plain sight. It's down there and can only be seen if I don't wear anything on it. No, not that! Much lower. I have a mole on the sole of my left foot and it's visible only when I don't wear a slipper. :) So there you have it, I have a moled sole. My lola told me having this mole indicates that I have the strong desire to travel, to grab opportunities for adventure, and to seek escapades. In short, "laagan". And true enough, I was, I am, and will continue to succumb to the call of wanderlust.
The last statement calls to mind the age-old mystery of which came first, the chicken or the egg. In my case, I wonder if I am fond of travelling because I have a mole OR do I have a mole because I am fond of travelling. The answer: I don't know. All I know for sure is that I enjoy travelling to near and distant destinations. I drool at the thought of trying new dining spots whether it's a carenderia or a restaurant. And I get stirred up when I hear of upcoming exciting events.
This blog is both a collection and celebration of the joys of ADVENTURE. Here, I will share with you must-go-to travel destinations, plates and bowls of gustatory delights, as well as let you know what's the buzz in town.
Cheers to adventure! Cheers to my moled sole! :)
